The Village of Ferintosh

Sanitary Dumping Station

TNTCC was engaged at the initial concept stage. The Village had a need due a number of factors and sought options to meet that need. TNTCC weighed the options and some of those included a selection of site locations, various styles of truck dumping facilities, etc. We finalized a location based on accessibility, safety, site control and monitoring, future needs, maintenance and operations, and cost. This meant that that site was to be located within the Village on a building lot owned by the Village. The new truck dumping system was relatively close to the existing sanitary system within the Village and allowed for direct tie-in. Additional design criteria was to be included in order to allow a direct tie-in but this proved to be an asset in keeping the costs down. TNTCC completed the preliminary and detailed design of the sanitary truck dumping station. This incorporated such components as civil works, process piping, monitor and controls systems, etc. A water system was designed and to be included with the sanitary dumping station. Access road and concrete structures were also a part on the design, in order to provide adequate access, load support, drainage, and aesthetics. Landscaping and signage also played a part in the usability, safety, and appearance of the overall system.
